The principle of ‘might makes right’ can be clearly seen in the operation of modern, at least, American Capitalism. The power of large national and international corporations, run on a model of taking out or purchasing those that they see as competition, is a clear example of this in action. Because there is no moral sense of right or wrong, just an economic state of things, it is taken as ‘business as usual’, that status quo. That others are harmed by the success of a business, is just another conquest and is thus a natural state of affairs.
