Fear of the Sea

I start to see
Now within these darker days
Our failing that has come to be

To blame the sea
Would hark to old foolishness
As our people learn how to flee

To find what’s free
Hopelessness in senseless fear
Now freedom a dream to be

Will I wait beside thee
Stand in terrors that grow now deep
Or will I chose the sea

I do not blame it you see
The failing now is not its motive
Merely a passage onto he

I start to see
Sword in hand, Doom in eyes
A Man that waits for me

We cannot dare to flee
What learned must be forgotten now
For He this endings latchkey

Freedom found oversea
From senseless fear bred deeply
Only there we found as free
